At ten days old the cheese is transported to our Wincanton conditioning store. Following careful maturation under the watchful eye of the master cheese maker, who ensures that all the ingredients, first derived from the lush pastures of the Mendip Hills fully develops into the unique taste and texture characteristic of Wyke Farms' products.
Our state of the art packing and distribution centre can supplies over 350 different varieties of pack shape, including fixed weight, flow wrapped and vacuum packed Cheddar from nine dedicated, flexible packing lines. Combining this with 200 highly motivated packing, production and technical staff, we have flexibility to meet the needs of all our customers, from the multiples to the smallest convenience store.
